LAURA J. ANDERSON, 69 STILLMAN VALLEY - Laura J. Anderson, 69, of Stillman Valley, passed away October 19, 2013, in SwedishAmerican Hospital, following an extended illness. Born October 18, 1944, in Rockford to Wilbur and Jacqueline (Olson) Brauer. She lived all of her life in the Rockford area, marrying Virgil W. Anderson in Rockford on August 17, 1968. Laura was formerly a material clerk for Sundstrand Aviation for 26 years, retiring in 2006. She was a life time member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, and a member of UAW local 592; graduating from Auburn High School in 1962. Laura is survived by her husband, Virgil of Stillman Valley; daughter, Tamara Anderson of Milwaukee, WI; sons, Todd (Lisa) Anderson of Davis Junction and Timothy (Elizabeth) Anderson of Dundee, IL; grandchildren, Zachary, Madeline, Mackenzie, Derek and Margaret; several nieces and nephews; sister, Susan (Peter) Deskovich of Rockford. Predeceased by her parents and brothers, Gerald and Laurence Brauer. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2013, in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 4620 20th Street, Rockford, with Rev. Ralph Kuespert, pastor, officiating. Memorial visitation at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to her family for a future memorial to be established in her memory.
