Keith D. Heatherington, 76, of Rockford, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2019. Born May 13,1943, in Rockford, the son of Elwood and Arlene (Frank) Heatherington. Graduate of Auburn High School, Class of 1962. Keith worked as a buyer for Gates Rubber Co. and retired from Pearson Plumbing & Heating. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Verdi Club, St. Ambrogio Society, Rockford Lithuanian Club, and Plug & Pellet Club. Keith was a fan of the Green Bay Packers,Chicago White Sox, Rockford Speedway and NASCAR. He loved to fish. Survived by his children, Jill Johnson of Belle Chasse, LA, Julie Hysmith and Jeffrey Heatherington both of Rockford; grandchildren, Rachel (Rudy) Heath, Jessica Johnson, Josiah Johnson, Little Keith Oldigs, Jacob Johnson, and Jason Heatherington; one great-grandchild, Zachary Marque; sisters, Helen Chirchirillo and Mary Kay Wheeler; several nieces and nephews; the mother of his children, Diane Kallenbach Moberg; and previous wife, Monica Baxter Heatherington. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Salem Lutheran Church, 1629 S. 6th St., Rockford.
Memorial Visitation will be from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service in the church. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Unit of OSF St. Anthony’s, 5666 E. State St., Rockford, IL 61108.
