Thereda “Tek” Ann Hauglie passed away on August 16, 2026 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Her motto was, “Life is Good,” and she lived those words to the very end.Tek was born on May 14, 1944, to Francis and Elnora Ek of Rockford, IL. She also had a sister, Margelet “Peggy” Palm all of whom preceded her in death.Tek married Wayne Hauglie on April 20, 1990, in Rockford, IL. They loved the outdoors and found great joy in spending time at Mayflower Lake, WI and traveling the world together. Alongside her passion for quilting, she loved planting flowers and spending quality time with her family.Tek is survived by her husband, Wayne; her daughters, Amy Garland (Gilbert, AZ), Darcy Ehrlich (Las Vegas, NV), Brenda Brock (Plainfield, IL), and Rhonda Wenberg (Rockford, IL). She is also survived by several grandchildren, a great-grandson, cousins, nephews, and a niece.
