March 28, 1944 ~ May 11, 2018 (age 74)

Gary Lee Nailor, 74, of Stillman Valley, passed away in his home on Friday, May 11th, 2018, with his wife Pammy by his side. He was born March 28, 1944, in Rockford, IL, to the late Ralph and Ernestine (Johnson) Nailor. Graduated from Auburn High School in 1962. Employed by Ingersoll Milling Machine Company and then Commonwealth Edison for thirty-two years, retiring in 1997. Gary had a passion for farming that began at an early age and continued long into retirement. He married Pammy (McCoy) Evans on November 13, 2015, in Oregon, IL. Gary cherished time spent with his family, and was a faithful follower of his grandchildren's many activities. Through the years he was always there to lend a helping hand and to share his vast carpentry and electrical knowledge. He was eagerly awaiting his first great-grandchild coming in June.
Gary is lovingly survived by his wife, Pammy; sister, Pat (Jim) Wasmund; daughters, Susan (Joe) Doty and Amy Sundberg; step-daughters, Melanie (Rich) Wurster and Courtney Evans; grandchildren, Jake Doty (Olivia Nolan), Emily (Mitchell) Wilson, Greg Sundberg Jr., and Abby Sundberg; step-grandchildren, Isabella and Aiden Wurster; as well as canine companions Lily and Lucky. Please join us for a Celebration of Life gathering on Sunday, June 3rd, from 2-4pm, at the Wooden Nickel in Stillman Valley. Memorials will be given to the Stillman Fire Protection District.
