PAT L. SCOTT, 67 ROCKFORD -  of Rockford passed way    Wednesday, April 25, 2012. Born Nov. 14, 1944, in Peoria, the son of Leonard and Delsie (Vinson) Scott. Married Carolyn A. Harris on Jan. 7, 1982, in Naples, Fla. He was a 1962 graduate of Auburn High School and attended Rock Valley College. Pat served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 to 1968. He worked for Ameritech as a central office technician for many years. He was a member of Rock Run Rifle Club. Pat was involved on the Rockford City Council and Winnebago County Board. He was elected as Rockford 6th Ward Alderman and served from 1973 to 1977, elected as county board serving on District 7 in 1980, served on District 11 in 1984, and served as 11County Board Chairman from 1982 to 1984. As a youth, Pat's activities with the Boy Scouts were very important in his life. Survived by wife, Carolyn; twin sons, Aaron and Martin Scott, both of Georgia; mother of his sons, Mary Tyndal; sister, Geraldine Crubaugh of Georgia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents and sister, Betty. Service at noon, Monday, April 30, in Olson Funeral & Cremation Services Ltd., North Main Chapel, 2811 N. Main St., with visitation from 11 to 11:45 a.m.; Pastor Dan Herman from Old Stone Church will officiate. Burial in Willwood Cemetery.
