anieta s. ingebretsen, 67 MESA, Ariz. - Anieta S. Ingebretsen, 67, of Mesa, formerly of Rockford, Ill., passed away Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, after a short illness, with her husband and children by her side. Born Nov. 27, 1944, in Batesville, Ark., to Frank and Becky Whitmire. They later moved to Rockford where she graduated from Auburn High School in 1962. Anieta married Richard Ingebretsen on Sept. 19, 1964, at Grace Lutheran Church in Loves Park, Ill. They have two children, Ray (Vanessa) Ingebretsen of Orr, Minn., and Robin (Mike) Chandler of Roscoe, Ill.; and five grandchildren, Brittney, Kelsea and Alexis Ingebretsen and Gage and Kayla Chandler. Anieta has one brother, Noel (Brenda) Whitmire of Rockford. Anieta worked as a legal secretary in Rockford for many years and was a member of the Winnebago County Association of Legal Secretaries, serving as president and on numerous committees and events. Along with her family, she was a member of the Ski Broncs Water Ski Show Team and enjoyed the friendship and camaraderie with the other members. She was a very generous person and volunteered her time as a bell ringer for the Salvation Army during many Christmas seasons. She will be remembered for her hard work ethic, compassion, sense of humor and her great smile. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by everyone she touched. Memorial service and celebration of her life at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at Grace Lutheran Church, 343 Grand Ave., Loves Park, with a luncheon to follow in Founders Hall at the church.
