HELEN J. BOWIE (LILLY)

Helen Jean Lilly of Rockford departed this earthly life October 26, 2021. She was born October 1, 1943 in Birmingham, Alabama the daughter of Edmond and Annie Bowie. Helen lived in Rockford most of her life coming from Alabama. She married Joseph Lilly he preceded her in death. Helen was a teacher at Maud E. Johnson School.

Helen leaves to cherish many loving memories, two daughters, Amy (Ronald) Davis and Karinda Parham; four sons, Kenneth Lilly, Edmond (Toni) Lilly, Brian Lilly and Michael Lilly; 42 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; sister, Joann Tilson; a host of nieces, nephews other realties and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; husband; and son, Joseph Lilly.

Services will be held 3:00p.m. Saturday November 6, 2021 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc 200 N. Johnston Ave. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
